Dr. New is the director of the Sickle Cell Disease Program in the Johns Hopkins All Children’s Cancer & Blood Disorders Institute. She joined the hospital staff in 2023. She was previously a hematologist-oncologist at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, where she most recently served as director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and clinical director of the Egleston Sickle Cell Program in the Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center.
